     Many people believe that when the bills become simply too much, declaring bankruptcy is a "miracle cure" that will allow you to start over with a clean slate.

     Don't be fooled. Bankruptcy is not the answer. After filing for bankruptcy, you still owe certain debts, including some taxes, fines, and child support. Further, when you file for bankruptcy, it could remain in your credit report for up to ten years. This will make getting credit in the future all but impossible.
